instruments from the beginning of time; from the sound of archaic conchs to the free jazz and electroacoustic music of today.
There will be an exhibition of these instruments, a photograph collection and a slide show on the Arthéa stand (see Exhibitions).

The Arthea World of Sound
An exhibition of string; percussion and wind instruments drawing its inspiration from instruments in these three great traditions
from all parts of the world; and made by current manufacturing techniques in modern materials and in currently accepted
shapes. All this together with photographs and a slide show:
Arthéa instruments are not just inventions plucked from the air; they are a synthesis of elements reflecting the sacred character of music worldwide: The Arthéa group of musicians has endeavored; since 1967, to explore the extremely diverse musical world (physics of sound; string instruments; philosophy; metaphysics) and the nature of its sounds (from archaic conchs to the incredible instruments of today).
Arthéa decided to incorporate the fruits of its discoveries into instruments adapted to our present day culture: This is the idea behind the impressive collection of instruments to be presented at F.A.U.S.T 96/ A number of concerts will be organized throughout the duration of the exhibition (see Shows)
