COMICS

SPIDER-MAN ANIMATED UPDATE Rocker Rob Zombie and rapper Eve are providing voices of villains for MTV's upcoming Spider-Man animated series.

"Fascinating," producer Audu Paden said of working with musicians as voice actors. "They're some people who came in from the music business who did surprisingly good work as voice actors."

Zombie will be providing the voices of Doctor Curt Connors and the Lizard. In the series, Peter Parker will take a job as Connors' lab assistant before working at the Daily Bugle. Just as in the comics and previous animated versions, the doctor will become the Lizard.

Zombie, 36, recently directed the film House of 1,000 Corpses. He is a comics fans, contributing to the soundtrack of The Crow: City of Angel and, at one point, developing a Crow film. He was on MTV earlier this summer, visiting the set of the Daredevil movie for the network's Movie House program. http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0209/04/index.htm

MTV

"Russel" told me that Rob designed the TV stage of MTV's Headbangers balls just before La sexorsito.
On Aug 96 Rob was with Kurt Russel on MTV, talking about Escape From LA. They also showed a picture of Rob when he was 15 dressed up as Snake from Escape from NY. It's difficult to believe he was ever anything but a hardass in dredlocks.
Rob had sunglasses on and had a hat that said elvis on it. MTV showed a clip of wz video for the movie. Rob was happy and talked with kurt and the mtv guy. He said that they were going to play the song from the soundtrack at their shows.

MTV did a special called warming up the Zombie. Unfortunatly the interviews were dominated by Zombie's opening bands for the show, and annoying Kennedy. Rob did not look too thrilled to be interviewed by her.

SCI FI CHANNEL

Rob zombie did a show on the sci-fi channel but it was kinda lame. they recorded about 10 things that rob muttered, and then just replayed them after each commercial. you could tell he was just doing it for pocket change.
It was pretty cool listening to Rob rip on "Night of the Creeps". He's like "Man, this is just the worst piece of garbage you could ever watch. I dunno why ANY of you are still watching this!!" Then later on, he's like "I'm sorry there's been a mistake. The management has just informed me this is actually a really GOOD movie, I really love it..." and he's making these awful faces and stuff. Pretty funny shit.

ESCAPE FROM LA / "THE ONE" :

On Aug 96 Rob was with Kurt Russel on MTV, talking about Escape From LA. They also showed a picture of Rob when he was 15 dressed up as Snake from Escape from NY. It's difficult to believe he was ever anything but a hardass in dredlocks.

THE CROW

The song 'I am your boogie man" is contained in "the city of angels" while a factory explosion as a side note Iggy Pop as actor played in the movie, Iggy and Rob seems to be friends (he did the background voice of Black sunshine and he is listed in MTDS).
Rob Zombie has been proposed to be be the main dirrector of The Crow III

Then for the crow 2 he said to the director "Hey, this sucks." The director said "yeah, here, do the third one for me." And so now rob is gonna direct, write , produce, blahblahblah... the third one... so wassup?

MISC

Subject: The movie THRILL and the Reznor soundtrack Date: Thu, 22 Aug 1996 11:23:08 -0700 From: Boss Hogg (ballart@eosc.osshe.edu) I heard that there's a rumor about a movie coming out this fall called THRILL and the soundtrack being produced by Trent Reznor. There's supposedly new songs by NIN, Marilyn Manson, Prick, Skinny Puppy, KMFDM, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, Dr. Dre, Pig, Coil, Stabbing Westward, Gravity Kills, White Zombie, and a few others.

Btw WZ is not on the Bordello of Blood (Tales from the Crypt movie) soundtrack ?

TRUCK SONGS

Rob Zombie Settles Lawsuit Against Mazda By City News Service LOS ANGELES, July 10, 2002 -- Rob Zombie settled his federal copyright infringement lawsuit against Mazda Motor of America over the use of music from his 1998 album Hellbilly Deluxe in a TV commercial, court papers show today. Story continues below U.S. District Judge Lourdes G. Baird signed off on the agreement, but the details were not disclosed. Zombie alleged that Mazda and its advertising agency, W.B. Doner & Co., used the song "Demonoid Phenomenon'' from his triple-platinum album to create a series of commercials for the Mazda B-series truck without his approval. The commercials ran on network and cable broadcasts from October 1999 to January 2000, after which Zombie filed suit in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles. The case was set to go to trial next week. The singer said in April that he learned about the commercials from his fans. "It's like (my policy is) 'I don't do this,' and then there's a car commercial running on television with my music,'' Zombie said. "How do you explain to every kid that you didn't sell out and didn't do exactly what you said you weren't going to do?'' The entertainer added, "I don't want to play that song live and see the kids go 'Hey! It's the truck song!' Corporate America doesn't understand that some people actually have values about things. Everything isn't for sale.''

MISC

Did anyone else see the premiere episode of that new show Millenium on Fox? They started the thing by going to a strip joint.
In the background they had More Human Than Human cranked for the women to shake their thing to.
