Rob Zombie set off to shoot a self-penned feature film
somehow inspired by his second passion which is
old horror flicks.
On his resume you can see that he is not too novice for directing a
hollywood movie :
The film, House of A Thousand Corpses, was ultimately deemed un-releasable after the studio head called it "an uber celebration of depravity," a criticism Zombie is quite proud of.
House of 1000 Corpses is set in the 1970s, about a group of young innocents who accidentally stumble into a house of horrors in order to escape a horrific storm.
Side Notes :
Early opinions from test audiences and a remarkable trailer lead me to believe this is a cross between Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things. A liberal use of red and blue color give it an almost comic book quality.

Two lost couples find themselves stranded for the night in an old dark house where they are set upon by the family in residence that dabbles in murder, witchcraft, and cannibalism which are just a few of the 1,000+ secrets buried in the field behind their house.
There are some scripts floating on Ebay : This is a copy of the 107 pages unreleased movie script for Rob Zombie's HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES. It comes with 8 additional pages of SKETCHES of different characters from the film supposedly drawn by ROB ZOMBIE HIMSELF.
[ I can trade a copy of it for the crow 2037 script ]

He said, and I quote: "This movie you're about to see footage from
has taken up several years of my life.
Nobody knew where it was going, but now it's done.
It's done and it's coming out this Halloween
and you're all going to see it."
Sadly, he didn't give any details as
to who's distributing or even if it's big-screen or video,
but it was great to hear of positive movement on this project.
I've been combing your site and others for news,
but as you know, it's been pretty sparse.
The footage itself was pretty promising.
It was jumbled and disjointed,
but you could get a pretty good feel
for what the tone and atmosphere will be.
I'm sure you've heard about it several dozen times, but here's my take :
The Legion of Doom if they were all Leatherface-esque serial killers
living in a Carnival and being filmed
by a 50's Exploitation/Propaganda director
with a fetish for fake blood and gore.
In other words, just good fun!
The only thing that will definitely be missing is Vincent Price,
but I'm sure he'll be there in spirit!
Hope this gives you some helpful insight into the Dredded-one's movie future.
